Arizona Fall League Prospect Report -- September 20, 2019

Greyson Jenista, 1B, Braves. Jenista had two hits in five at-bats for Scottsdale. He collected a single and a double while coming around to score twice. Jenista played first base during the game, something he had only done twice this season for Double-A Mississippi. While he hasn’t played it much in the minors, Jenista did play 39 games at first base for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League across the 2016 and 2017 seasons as an amateur. The ability to play first base would make him for versatile, although he might not develop enough power to profile as an option at the position beyond a fill-in role.

Royce Lewis, CF, Twins. Lewis had one hit in three at-bats for Salt River. In the fourth inning, he cracked a two-run homer to left field. It was the second game in the outfield for Lewis, who had spent just one game in center field during his time in the minors. This new assignment could help Lewis add more value up the middle as an athletic defender who can play multiple positions.

Ashton Goudeau, RHP, Rockies. Goudeau came on in relief for Salt River and was dominating for three frames. The righthander didn’t allow a hit or a walk and struck out four batters along the way. Goudeau is coming off a hand injury that got in the way of a great season for Double-A Hartford, posting a 2.07 ERA in 78 1/3 innings. The righthander works with a three-pitch mix, attacking hitters with a mid-90s fastball and above-average curveball. While his changeup is his third pitch, he can still throw it for strikes.

Alec Bohm, 3B, Phillies. Bohm had four hits in five at-bats for Scottsdale. He collected three base knocks and a double, driving in two runs and coming around to score once as well. The infielder hit well during the minor league season, but this was his first four-hit performance this year.
