Baseball America’s high school team rankings are selected through a poll of representatives from the National High School Baseball Coaches Association. The country is split into eight different regions, with region chairs nominating teams from their geographic areas for consideration for the rankings nationwide.

On today’s updated high school team rankings, a familiar face checks in at the No. 1 overall spot. Stoneman Douglas High (Parkland, Fla.) remains the top team in the country after winning its second straight state championship in Florida. The team took on Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) High in the 7A state championship and dispatched them, 10-0 after just five innings.

It has been a dominant season for Stoneman Douglas, which also traveled to Cary, N.C., and became just the second non-California team to win USA Baseball’s National High School Invitational.
