Brandon Nimmo is truly a rarity. In 2011, the future big leaguer became the first player from Wyoming to be picked in the first round of the draft. He’s also the last player from Wyoming to be picked at all, as the state has been shut out in the five drafts since and that streak should continue in 2017.
