2017 State Draft Report: Oregon

CROP RATING
updated_state_rating_five_star Banner year
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

It’s been three years since Michael Conforto went in the first round out of Oregon. This year should bring the state back into the first round thanks to David Peterson. It’s a good year for pitching around the state, although the recent disclosure that Luke Heimlich in on the sex offender registry will likely send him spiraling down draft boards. Heimlich was the No. 43 prospect in the BA 500 prior to being removed from the rankings.
