2017 State Draft Report: Delaware

CROP RATING
updated_state_rating_five_star Not up to par
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

Top Delaware draft picks include players like Delino DeShields and Derek May, as well as more recent pitchers like Brett Oberholzter and Chad Kuhl. The First State is light on draft talent this year, but it has promise in 2018, especially on the high school side.

OTHER PROSPECTS OF NOTE
2017 Draft Map

1. Darrien Ragins, LHP, Delaware State
2. Jordan Glover, OF, Delaware
3. Ron Marinaccio, RHP, Delaware

Darrien Ragins, LHP, Delaware State
Ragins served as Delaware State’s closer this spring and struck out 22 batters in 16 innings. He was the No. 6 prospect in the New England Collegiate Baseball League in 2016, thanks to his lively low 90s fastball and deception.

Jordan Glover, OF, Delaware
Glover batted .339/.425/.575 as a redshirt senior this spring. He could be a solid senior sign, as he’s shown flashes of power and speed.
