2016 State Draft Report: Montana

CROP RATING
updated_state_rating_two_star Not up to par
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

Number of players drafted in 2015: 0

No full-time scout has Montana as his primary focus. It’s easy to understand why. While Montana has lots of territory, it usually has very few draftable players. Only one Montana collegian has been drafted this decade (Riley King, Royals, 2013, 24th round).

The high school ranks in Montana sometimes do a little bit better, but this looks to be a thin group this year.
