Baseball America’s Top 30 St. Louis Cardinals Prospects entering 2025 are here exclusively for subscribers. The list includes updated scouting reports, BA grades and tool grade projections for every player.

Inevitably, there are players every year who barely miss the cut when we narrow down the list. These players are all worth monitoring for various reasons and it’s likely some will either reach the big leagues in 2025 or enjoy breakout seasons lower in the minors.

Here are next 10 players to know in the Cardinals system beyond their Top 30. You can find the complete index of players who just missed their teams’ respective lists here.

31. Jonathan Mejia, 2B. After a 2023 to forget that saw Mejia demoted to the Florida Complex League after a rough first go at Low-A Palm Beach, Mejia returned to the FCL in 2024 and hit .299/.395/.425 over 49 games.

32. Braden Davis, LHP. The Cardinals selected Davis in the fifth round of the 2024 draft. He signed for $485,700 and did not debut following the draft. Davis’ changeup is the jewel of his arsenal and produced a 30% swinging strike rate in 2024.

33. Travis Honeyman, OF. After breaking out as an underclassman at Boston College, Honeyman has struggled to stay healthy over the last few years. He was limited to 20 games in 2024 but shows above-average athleticism and plate skills.

34. Andrew Dutkanych, RHP. The righthander spent two seasons at Vanderbilt but was limited to just 17 total innings due to injury. Dutkanych has two potential 70-grade pitches but will need to prove he can stay healthy and throw consistent strikes.

35. Andrew Bolivar, RHP. Bolivar signed out of Venezuela in March of 2023, but he didn’t debut until 2024 in the Dominican Summer League. He made 12 appearances in 2024 striking out 53 batters over 42.2 innings. Bolivar’s fastball averaged 20 inches of induced vertical break in 2024.

36. Josh Kross, C. After hitting .317/.438/.638 with a career high 19 home runs for Cincinnati in 2024, the Cardinals took Kross in the sixth round. He debuted with Low-A Palm Beach after the draft. Kross shows solid plate skills with the ability to hit the ball hard in the air to his pull side.

37. Edward Guribe, OF. Signed out of the Dominican Republic in January 2024, Guribe debuted in the Dominican Summer League and hit .282/.325/.465. Guribe shows excellent quality of contact and projectable power. He’s a strong fastball hitter but struggles against spin and offspeed.

38. Joshua Baez, OF. Once a standout two-way prospect from the northeast, Baez was drafted as power-hitting outfielder. Despite outstanding contact quality, Baez’s bat-to-ball skills have limited his overall production as a professional.

39. Bryan Torres, OF. Signed as a minor league free agent out of independent ball prior to the 2024 season, Torres enjoyed a breakout year with Double-A Springfield, hitting .331/.418/.416 over 120 games.

40. Joseph King, RHP. A ninth-round pick out of California in 2022, King had a breakout season in 2023. His 2024 ended in May due to a right arm injury. King mixes a mid-90s fastball, curveball and changeup.
