10 Braves Prospects To Know Beyond The Top 30 in 2025

Baseball America’s Top 30 Atlanta Braves Prospects entering 2025 are here exclusively for subscribers. The list includes updated scouting reports, BA grades and tool grade projections every player.
Inevitably, there are players every year who barely miss the cut when we narrow down the list. These players are all worth monitoring for various reasons and it’s likely some will either reach the big leagues in 2025 or enjoy breakout seasons lower in the minors.
Here are next 10 players to know in the Braves system beyond their Top 30. You can find the complete index of players who just missed their teams’ respective lists here.
31. Jeremy Reyes, RHP. Reyes signed for $250,000 in Atlanta’s 2023 international signing class and boasts big arm strength with a fastball that’s been up to 100. His low-80s slider is his best swing-and-miss pitch, but he’ll need to improve his command to make the most of his big velocity and breaking ball.
32. Raudy Reyes, RHP. Reyes signed for $1.8 million in Atlanta’s 2025 international class. He’s big for his age at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds and has huge arm strength with a fastball that has already been up to 101 mph. His control is crude, so he has plenty of risk to go with loud upside.
33. Hayden Harris, LHP. Harris is a 6-foot lefthander with a 90-95 mph fastball that plays up thanks to his short release height and flat approach angle. He posted a 4.64 ERA mostly as a reliever in the upper minors in 2024 but will need to refine his secondaries to profile as a big league reliever.
34. Cade Kuehler, RHP. Kuehler signed for $1,045,000 as a supplemental second rounder in 2023. He started 12 games in 2024 before getting Tommy John surgery that will keep him out for most of the 2025 season. Kuehler’s velocity backed up to the low 90s but he has a promising splitter that could play in a relief role.
35. Dylan Dodd, LHP. Dodd is a 6-foot-2 lefthander who fills up the strike zone with a low-90s fastball that’s been up to 96-97. While he can log innings he hasn’t found any reliable secondaries to miss barrels at the major league level, which caps his upside as a depth starter or bulk reliever.
36. Ian Mejia, RHP. Mejia is a 6-foot-3 righthander with a 90-93 mph fastball that has touched 95-96 at peak velocity who was effective at Double-A Mississippi in 2024. He missed bats with a low-80s gyro slider and has worked to add a two-seam fastball and cutter, though he profiles as an organizational depth starter.
37. Luke Waddell, 2B. Waddell lacks big league tools and size as a 5-foot-7, 180-pound infielder and lefthanded hitter, but he’s a savvy ballplayer who makes a ton of contact and can reliably play all over the infield. His contact ability and infield versatility could give him a cup of coffee in the big leagues.
38. Eric Hartman, OF. Hartman is a Canadian native who signed for $337,500 in the 20th round of the 2024 draft. The 6-foot-1 lefthanded hitter played well in a brief stint in the Western Canadian League in 2024 and Braves officials were impressed with the quality of his swing during instructs after the draft.
39. Jacob Shafer, RHP. Shafer is a 6-foot-8, 240-pound righthander who threw tons of strikes with UNC Wilmington, but missed more bats than expected in his pro debut after signing. Shafer posted a 2.70 ERA over five starts and 20 innings, mixed in a four-seam and two-seam fastball in the low 90s and generated a 21.8% swinging strike rate with his mid-80s slider.
40. Owen Hackman, RHP. Hackman signed for just $2,500 as a senior in the ninth round of the 2024 draft, but had a loud pro debut after signing. He led all 2024 pitchers with 20.2 innings across three starts and two relief appearances, posted a 1.31 ERA and struck out 24 batters. Hackman has a four-pitch mix with a low-90s fastball, slider, changeup and curveball.
