Inevitably, there are players every year who barely miss the cut when we narrow down the list. These players are all worth monitoring for various reasons and it’s likely some will either reach the big leagues in 2025 or enjoy breakout seasons lower in the minors.
Here are next 10 players to know in the Blue Jays system beyond their Top 30. You can find the complete index of players who just missed their teams’ respective lists here.
31. Steward Berroa, OF. Berroa spent nine years in the Blue Jays system before debuting for the team in 2024 seeing action in 28 games. Berroa is a classic bench outfielder and late inning defensive replacement.
32. Cutter Coffey, SS. Acquired by the Blue Jays from division rival Boston for Danny Jansen at the the 2024 trade deadline, Coffey showed improved production with High-A Greenville prior to the trade and has some power projection.
33. Enmanuel Bonilla, OF. One of the Blue Jays’ top international signees in the 2023 class, Bonilla had a rough first season stateside after a strong pro debut in the Dominican Summer League. Bonilla is a power-hitting corner outfielder that will need to improve his plate skills to succeed at advanced levels.
34. Yohendrick Pinango, OF. Acquired by the Blue Jays from the Cubs during their flurry of activity this past trade deadline. Pinango shows strong underlying plate skills and power but has serious defensive questions.
35. Devereaux Harrison, RHP. Despite only fringy results Harrison has interesting stuff, mixing a cut-ride four-seam fastball in the low-90s with a sweeper with unusual ride, a true cutter, a curveball and a splitter. It’s an unusual pitch mix with deceptive traits.
36. Eddie Micheletti, Jr., OF. The Blue Jays plucked Micheletti in the eighth round of the 2024 draft out of Virginia Tech. He had a solid professional debut hitting .292/.422/.458 for Low-A Dunedin following the draft.
37. Carson Pierce, RHP. Pierce looked like a potential breakout candidate in 2024, but his season ended after an elbow injury. Pierce had Tommy John surgery and will miss all of 2025.
38. Jackson Wentworth, RHP. The Blue Jays selected Wentworth in the fifth round of the 2024 draft and signed him for $412,100. He shows a solid three-pitch mix and enjoyed a breakout season for Kansas State last spring.
39. Nolan Perry, RHP. Another Blue Jays pitcher who’s shown glimpses of a breakout, Perry’s 2024 season ended after an elbow injury. He had Tommy John surgery and will miss all of 2025.
40. Connor Cooke, RHP. Cooke is arguably the best athlete in the Blue Jays system and broke out in 2023 showing plus stuff across his arsenal. He dealt with ineffectiveness and injury in 2024, and had Tommy John surgery in January of 2025.
