The big-bodied (6-foot-4, 225 pounds) Galindo spent two seasons at the junior college level, playing for New Mexico Military Institute primarily as a position player. A jump in fastball velocity after transferring to New Mexico State cast him in the closer role for the Aggies and he saved 8 games and fanned 47 batters in 29 innings. The El Paso native sits in the mid-90s with a reported top velocity of 97 mph and he flashes a serviceable slider. Galindo also walked nearly a batter an inning in 2016, so the team that drafts him will be gambling on the potential of a relatively inexperienced power arm. There's a good chance that Galindo will be picked before the end of the draft's second day.
