One has to believe an exciting future core of a position players is crystalizing in Farhan Zaidi's crystal ball.

The Giants system -- which ended the year ranked at its highest spot in six years -- is on the rise, thanks in large part to several shrewd signings on the international market and a pair of recent high draft picks. And while the majority of the top 10 is likely at least a year or two away from impacting the big league club, it's fun to watch the bats at San Francisco's lower levels.
