By J.J. Cooper

The window is open for the Minnesota Twins.

They returned to the postseason on the heels of a 101-win season in a beleaguered seasons for the AL Central. And while the White Sox are lurking, Minnesota has watched as the Indians dealt Corey Kluber and entertained Francisco Lindor trade inquiries amid a payroll crunch. And there's reason to believe there is more help on the way in Minnesota after they finished among the game's 10 best farm systems in 2019. The Twins certainly have the talent and depth to supplement the big league roster via the farm, either by promotion or by trade.

However, 2019 also reinforced that prospect development is by no means linear. Minnesota's two best prospects -- Royce Lewis and Alex Kirilloff -- endured difficult seasons after entering the year with considerable buzz.
