Scouting Report

Hart has the loose arm and projectable frame scouts like to see, with wide shoulders and leanness to his listed 6-foot-2, 178-pound body. A Southern California signee, Hart lacks a present plus pitch to get scouts too excited. He sits in the 89-90 mph range, popping some 92s along the way, and has shown the ability to throw strikes with a solid-average changeup. If it all comes together, both pitches could project to above-average down the road. His inconsistent curveball has decent 11-to-5 shape and power at times. Hart was hard to see at times for scouts due to what were variously reported by scouts as blister or wart issues on his throwing hand.
