After hitting .226 with three home runs for the Orleans Firebirds in the Cape Cod League over the summer, Zammarelli hit .342/.425/.590 with nine home runs for Elon this spring. A lefthanded hitter with bat speed and power potential--but a little too much swing-and-miss--Zammarelli has a wiry frame and room to add strength to it. His average arm strength and unusual arm action might force a move to left field, where the arm should play at the next level and where he can utilize his above-average speed.
