David Lee

Lee began his college career at Florida International, before transferring to Santa Fe (Fla.) JC in his hometown of Gainesville. After a solid showing in the fall, he had a rocky spring as he struggled with his command, walking 41 batters and striking out 58 in 54 innings. At his best, Lee runs his fastball up to 93 mph, but more typically sits in the upper 80s. He has a hard, short slider and shows some feel for his changeup. Listed at 6-foot-4, 185 pounds, Lee is athletic, giving him a chance to get his delivery to a point where he can consistently repeat it. While he will need refinement, he has raw tools to work with, whether that's at Florida, where he's committed, or in the professional ranks.
