Rodgers gave Tennessee its second consecutive all-SEC third baseman as he followed nicely in Nick Senzel's footsteps. Rodgers played first base last year in deference to Senzel, even though that meant that he wasn't able to show off his defensive skills. Moved back to third base as a senior, Rodgers was a nearly flawless third baseman showing range, instincts and an above-average arm. He projects in pro ball as a plus defender or better at third. Rodgers has a fluid swing with impressive barrel awareness. He batted .322/.390/.512 senior season and will be a useful senior sign.
