Hickman has consistently demonstrated well above-average power from a strong but lengthy lefthanded swing. He posted some of the best exit velocities at some of last summer's showcases. A catcher in the past, Hickman has largely played first base this spring. His power will play there, but a team that could get him back behind the plate would add to his versatility, although he has a lot of work to do defensively.
