Luke Williams

Luke Williams, a Cal Poly recruit, had some late helium thanks to his speed, which rates at least plus with some reports of 6.5-second 60-yard times. He's athletic and has played several positions--in just the last two seasons, he's played catcher as a junior for his Dana Hills (Calif.) High team, then center fielder for a travel team, and then shortstop this spring for Dana Hills. He's expected to go out as an infielder if he plays pro ball but could use his speed to play center field. He set Dana Hill's single-season and career stolen-base record, but some scouts thought his bat was light.
