  Zimmerman is a big slugger at 6-foot-4, 235 pounds and was a lineman on his school's football team before focusing on baseball as a senior. Zimmerman showed he can use his size and strength effectively at the plate, hitting 10 home runs as a senior playing solid competition. Zimmerman takes a big stride and has a huge uppercut, selling out for power. The result is massive shots to his pull side when he connects, but also a lot of swings and misses against better pitching. He does have a good idea of the strike zone, limiting his swing-and-miss somewhat. Zimmerman has arm strength and has touched the upper 80s off the mound, but is a below-average runner limited to first base defensively. Zimmerman's future upside relies on his bat and how consistently he gets to his power. He is committed to Michigan.
