Bobby Poyner

Poyner has been one of Florida's most consistent relievers throughout his career, averaging more than 20 appearances a year. He's also occasionally been used as a starter and has shown the ability to throw multiple innings out of the bullpen. Poyner doesn't have overwhelming stuff, but knows how to pitch with what he has and earns praise for his competitive mentality on the mound. His fastball sits 87-90 mph and he combines it with an average slider. He fills up the strike zone and comes right after hitters. Poyner is a versatile pitcher who will provide good value to a team as a college senior.
