Nic Enright

Enright picked up helium last fall, when his fastball peaked at 94 and he flashed an above-average breaking ball. This spring, Enright did not quite show the same velocity, pitching more in the upper 80s and lacking consistency with his breaking ball. Enright has a clean delivery and live arm action, and scouts could dream on when he had his best stuff. This spring, however, Enright did not show the command that scouts were hoping for. He is 6-foot-3 with broad shoulders and a powerful trunk. Enright has shown the raw materials to develop into a major league starter, but didn't quite show it this spring. He is committed to Virginia Tech, and has multiple family members who also attended Virginia Tech. Enright appears unlikely to sign out of high school, but a team could still take a shot at him.
