A California native, Desguin began his college career at Florida State before transferring to Feather River (Calif.) JC, where he was named Golden Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2014. He returned to Florida this year and put himself on the map with a complete game four-hitter against Miami in his first start of the season. Desguin worked effectively as both a starter and a reliever for the Eagles. He can run his fastball up to 94-95 mph and mixes in a slider. Desguin profiles better as a reliever, as he doesn't have ideal size for a starter (he's listed at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, and relies very heavily on his fastball.
