Finally healthy after tearing his ACL twice in the past, George, a redshirt senior, responded by leading Division I with a .548 on-base percentage thanks to a stellar 52-28 strikeout-to-walk ratio. It was the first time he'd topped 40 at bats since his sophomore season, but he posted a better than .500 on-base percentage each of the past two seasons before injuring his knee. George has reached base safely in his past 74 games. George played some third base for Arkansas State, but his range is limited and after the knee injuries, he's now a below-average runner. The switch-hitter has an excellent approach and knowledge of the strike zone and demonstrates solid bat speed. From both sides of the plate, George hits with a pronounced leg kick as a timing mechanism that may have to be toned down in pro ball.
