Bossart's best tools are behind the plate. He's a sound receiver and has an athletic, quick-twitch lower half. Bossart has added strength throughout his four years, and he has a chance to be an average or better defender behind the plate. Bossart is a righthanded hitter with loose wrists, and he came on strong towards the end of his junior year. This spring, as a senior, Bossart erupted, hitting .358 and posting an impressive .540 slugging percentage. He will have to prove himself offensively against quality pitching in pro ball, but he has an intriguing tool set and a high ceiling.
