The son of Cubs manager Craig Counsell, Brady is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound corner outfielder and third baseman who transferred to Kansas for his senior season after three years at Minnesota. He batted .259/.378/.473 with 12 home runs, 11 doubles and an even strikeout-to-walk ratio in 2025. Counsell has solid pullside raw power and a long swing launched from a high handset. He posted a strong 90.4% zone contact rate but chased too often and generally made light contact. Defensively, he has the arm and athleticism to stick at third base but could also fit in left field.
