Chapman was a tooled-up prep prospect at Grandview High in Colorado known for his power-speed combo, but proved to be a tough sign and made it to Tennessee. After becoming a regular starter as a sophomore in 2024, he broke out in 2025 with his best season to date, slashing .273/.344/.523 with 13 home runs and 11 doubles while starting every game in right field. A 6-foot-1, 225-pound lefthanded hitter, Chapman features a picturesque swing with solid bat speed and a slight uppercut path that allows him to drive the ball to all fields. He owns at least above-average raw power and is capable of doing damage in any count, but there’s real swing-and-miss in his game, especially against secondary pitches. His overall approach can get aggressive at times, leading to inconsistencies in contact quality. Defensively, Chapman fits best in a corner outfield role at the next level. He has an average run tool and is a capable athlete for his size, paired with a strong, accurate arm that profiles well in right field. Chapman’s offensive upside, particularly his power potential from the left side, gives him a chance to go off the board in the top 10 rounds, especially if a team believes it can refine the approach.
