Kavourias hit more home runs than anyone in the system who didn't play in the Pacific Coast League. A hulking figure, he has big-time power. Kavourias has a tendency to pull off pitches and seems reluctant to use the opposite field, even though he has more than enough pop to hit balls out that way. His bat is quick enough to make it difficult to pitch him inside. Some question Kavourias' commitment to the non-hitting aspects of the game, though he did show improved intensity over the final two months. He must work on his outfield play, which right now is below-average. His routes have gotten better but he still has a ways to go. His arm is strong enough but erratic. With improvement he projects as a right fielder in the big leagues.
