Listed at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Williams, an Arizona State commit, passes they eye test. He's got a sculpted body with extremely broad shoulders and is still growing into his body. He comes from a baseball background, as his father, Ted, played reached Triple-A during his playing days and is now a scout for the Twins. Tyler Williams shows above-average bat speed, good hip rotation and gets the bat through the zone, all of which leads to plus raw power. He doesn't get to all of his pop, however, because of the amount of swing-and-miss in his game and a swing path that's more geared toward line drives than creating loft. It takes Williams a bit to get going, but he has plus speed. He has a below-average arm, which may ultimately limit him to left field defensively.
