Ryan Karstetter

Karstetter showed offensive potential in high school and he showed flashes during his freshman year at Virginia in 2016, but he batted just .225 and struggled to get on base for the Cavaliers. He transferred to junior college as a sophomore and performed well, batting .363 this season. Karstetter is well-built at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds and he brings a graceful athleticism to his game. He flashes raw power in batting practice, but that power manifested itself more in doubles than home runs this spring, leading to questions about his profile at third base. Some evaluators have proposed moving Karstetter behind the plate at the next level, where his athleticism and physicality could play.
