  The top player in the Dakotas for the draft, Thome provides a durable pro frame at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, and he's been UND's ace for most of his four seasons, tossing 18 complete games. Scouts also have seen him in the Cape Code League and Northwoods League, and reports this spring match up. He pitches off his 87-91 mph fastball, which bumps 93 and has excellent sink; he didn't give up a home run all year. Thome's slider and changeup are also geared toward generating ground balls. Thome's stuff moves, but he throws a lot of strikes (2.6 BB/9 IP).
