Connor Overton

After splitting time between the rotation and bullpen as a freshman, Overton was a medical redshirt as a sophomore because of shoulder troubles. He created buzz early this season and has shown the stuff to potentially go in the top 10 rounds. Overton works at 89-92 mph, touching 94 with some gloveside run. His slider shows above-average potential but is inconsistent, and his changeup lags behind. He has given up a hit per inning but has consistently missed bats (9.5 strikeouts per nine). He throws enough strikes (2.9 walks per nine) to project average control. The athletic and strong 6-foot, 190-pounder is likely to be a reliever at the pro level.
