Mitchell is one of the draft's wild cards, showcasing top-five-rounds raw stuff at times but Nuke LaLoosh command, walking 26 in 22 frames and falling out of Mississippi State's rotation. At his best, the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder showed a fastball up to 94-95 mph, pitching in the low 90s. His 12-to-6 curveball has power in the upper 70s and gives him a swing-and-miss pitch, while his changeup is average at best. Mitchell just lost his feel for the strike zone and doesn't have any significant delivery issues, so scouts think his control issues can be fixed.
