A redshirt junior, McGee has a strong 6-foot-3, 230-pound body that should help him hold up in pro ball. He's a modest athlete whose best tool is his bat. He has a professional approach at the plate, ranking in the top 10 in Division I in each of the last two seasons in walks. He has gone this season from just working walks to driving the ball when he gets ahead in counts, improving his slugging percentage from .275 to .525 entering the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament. He's a solid catch-and-throw guy with average to arm strength.
