Andrew Edwards

With his 6-foot-5, 255-pound frame, Edwards draws physical comparisons to John Lackey and Lance Lynn. Edwards, who spent the previous two years at Rend Lake (Ill.) CC, operates with a low-90s fastball that reaches 95. He won his first four Sun Belt Conference starts, including 136- and 132-pitch outings two weeks apart, before fading down the stretch. In addition to his heater, he also throws a mid-80s cutter and a changeup, though neither is reliable. His command is so-so as well, and he profiles better as a reliever.
