Konner Wade

Wade was outstanding for Arizona as a sophomore, throwing two complete games in the College World Series as the Wildcats won the national championship. He followed that up with a solid summer in the Cape Cod League and entered the season as one of college baseball's top pitching prospects, but the his stuff has been way down this spring. While he has never been a fireballer (sitting 89-93 mph at his best), Wade has been more in the 85-87 mph range this spring. His fastball still has good sink, and he'll mix in a solid-average changeup and a fringy slider. Wade has a good pitcher's build at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds. A team that believes in what it saw last year could grab him in the eighth to 10th round.
