Paugh has starred at Chaparral High as a three-year starter, and he's been on the national scene for years. In 2015, he played on USA Baseball's 15U national team, teaming with the likes of Royce Lewis, Hunter Greene and potential 2018 first-rounder Brice Turang. The Arizona signee has an important tool--plus raw power potential, with fast hands from the right side. However, Paugh has work to do to develop his feel for hitting, so that he can get to his plus raw power consistently. He is limited to a corner defensively, though he has arm strength for either outfield corner.
