School:Texas A&M Age At Draft: 21.3
Drafted: Never Drafted
Sorrell’s season was limited to just 26 games due to injury, but he made the most of it and hit .337/.430/.789 with five doubles, 12 home runs and 32 RBIs. While it was across a limited sample, Sorrell’s hit tool took a bit of a step in the right direction as he improved his contact rates and lowered his chase rates. There’s still some whiff and chase, particularly against secondaries, but he fares well against heaters. Sorrell has a lean, athletic frame and a similarly athletic look in the box with present impact and more on the way. -
School: Texas A&M Committed/Drafted: Never Drafted. Age At Draft: 21.4
Sorrell was a pop-up player in high school and flashed an exciting power/speed combo during his senior spring before making it campus at Texas A&M. He had a solid freshman season in 2024 and was on the way to a breakout sophomore campaign in 2025 before being limited to just 26 games with a hand injury. Between his two seasons, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound outfielder has hit .296/.390/.635 with 23 home runs and 13 doubles. Sorrell has an uphill swing path and does a nice job getting the ball into the air frequently. He shows the power to homer to all fields, but he will need to clean up his pitch recognition and contact skills vs. secondaries. He’s played both left and right field in his first two seasons with Texas A&M. -
School: Marcus HS, Flower Mound, Texas Source: HS

Age At Draft: 18.4
BA Grade:45/Extreme
Tools:Hit: 45. Power: 55. Run: 55. Field: 55. Arm: 55.
Sorrell wasn’t a prominent name on the 2022 summer showcase circuit and he wasn’t on the Texas-based Rangers team at the Area Code Games, but he did become one of the most prominent spring pop-up players in the country. Listed at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Sorrell added plenty of strength over the offseason and showcased an exciting power/speed combination with Marcus High in Flower Mound, Texas. He has an uphill swing and a chance for above-average power potential with a relatively low handset and a bit of an arm bar during his lefthanded swing. He’s an above-average runner who earns some plus grades and is a center fielder now who might add more strength and grow into more of a corner profile in the next five years—where his above-average arm strength will play nicely. Sorrell will likely be a fairly polarizing player given the lack of history many teams will have on him, and those highest will be buying into his pure hitting ability, power, speed and athleticism. He’s committed to Texas A&M and has big league bloodlines by way of both of his grandfathers: Billy Sorrell and Tom Griffin.
