Gibson began his college career at Louisiana State-Shreveport before transferring to Louisiana Tech. He missed 2019 and 2020 in part due to injury but spent the last two seasons in the Bulldogs’ rotation. His fastball gets up to 93 mph but sits around 90 with arm-side run. His changeup is perhaps his best pitch, and it has plenty of fading life. He can throw both a curveball and a slider, both of which flash above-average but need to be more consistent. Gibson has solid control of his whole arsenal.
