  Track Record: Yean signed with the Dodgers in 2021 and so far has moved slowly through the minor leagues. He reached Low-A for the first time in 2023 and repeated the level in 2024. He pitched just 23.2 innings at the level this past season in between two stints on the injured list with shoulder soreness.
  
  Scouting Report: Yean has produced ERAs above 6.00 in each of the last two seasons, but his prospect stock will always at least flicker because of the immense heat he can generate from his right arm. His fastball averaged 100 mph in 2024, touched 105 mph and generated an average of 19.7 inches of induced vertical break. The velocity and movement helped him get a miss rate of 44%. Yean backs the fastball with a potentially average slider in the high 80s with slicing break. Batters missed Yean’s slider nearly half the time they swung at it. If Yean even had below-average control, he might be on a rocket ship through the minor leagues. A big body, long arm action and stiff delivery has largely prevented him from throwing strikes. He walked 25 hitters in 23.2 innings and had a strike rate of 58%.
  
  The Future: If he can stay healthy and throw strikes, the sky is the limit for Yean. If not, he might not escape the minor leagues. He’s destined for High-A in 2025.
