Lipscomb had a solid freshman season for Belmont in 2021, when he led the team with 14 stolen bases, but he took his game to another level in 2022 during his draft-eligible sophomore season. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound center fielder crushed Ohio Valley Conference pitching, to the tune of a .406/.484/.548 slash line, with four home runs, 13 doubles, 42 stolen bases and more walks (29) than strikeouts (18). Lipscomb is skinny with very limited raw power and meager exit velocity data, but he has excellent bat-to-ball skills and controls the zone at a high level. Lipscomb didn’t face much in the way of premium velocity, and he also doesn’t have any wood bat track record to speak of, which could create some hesistancy in projecting his hit tool at the next level. He has the tools to stick in center field as a good athlete and plus runner who has gone 56-for-65 (86.2%) in stolen bases during his Belmont career.
