Seth Stephenson

Stephenson came to Tennessee in 2022 after two years at Temple (Texas) JC. He’s a plus-plus runner with above-average bat speed. In his first year at Tennessee, Stephenson stepped right into a key role, hitting .339/.408/.508 while playing left and center field. While he played more left field at Tennessee, a pro team could try to put him back in center and let his speed play. Offensively, Stephenson is a spray hitter with below-average power. He profiles as a top-of-the order table-setter. He swiped 25 bags in 30 tries this year, and his stolen base ability may be more valuable in pro ball if the minors liberalized base-stealing rules ever come to the majors.
