Scouting Report

Scouts say Allen has the highest ceiling on a talented Western Oklahoma State team that also includes outfielder Sherman Lacrus and catcher/infielder Sicnarf Loopstok. A 6-foot, 180-pounder, Allen shows a quick bat and plus power from the right side of the plate. He also has above-average speed, which made him a wide receiver prospect who drew interest from college football programs, and arm strength. He's capable of playing center field but isn't as polished as Lacrus, so Allen plays on the corners for the Pioneers. He's raw at the plate too, as he struggles against breaking balls.
