Phillips is a lefthanded-hitting power bat, standing at 6 feet, 220 pounds, and cuts his swing loose with lift and authority. Along with the power, Phillips has the potential to hit for average as well, and he’s hit .291 in his collegiate career. The corner outfielder has contributed on the mound for the Wildcat program throughout his time in Manhattan, but he’ll get drafted for his offensive skill set. He’s likely to be selected in the eighth-to-10th-round range.
