Tygart has some of the best feel for spin in the 2024 class and has been known for his breaking stuff since his prep days. He used his breaking ball more than half the time as a full-time reliever in 2022, but backed off that usage in 2023 when he made six starts in ten total appearances. Tygart posted a 3.20 ERA in 25.1 innings in 2023 and missed time in the middle of the season with a sprained UCL. He throws a fastball in the low 90s that has been up to 97 and spins a vicious, two-plane breaking ball with 2,900 rpm spin and tremendous depth and horizontal movement. Tygart has two versions of the breaking ball: an upper-70s curveball with more depth and a slider around 80 mph with more sweeping action.
