Garrett Hawkins

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound native of Biggar, Saskatchewan hasn’t been able to have much time on the mound at UBC because of pandemic protocols in Canada, but he impressed in the draft league this year and became a late riser. For Trenton, Hawkins posted a 2.62 ERA over six starts and 24 innings, with two walks and 32 strikeouts. The Canadian uses a fastball that sits 92 to 95 with a slider that is still developing and a splitter that he throws as a changeup. He’s consistently been a hard worker and a strike thrower since high school and with incredibly long arms he gets incredible extension out front, playing up his fastball.
