A long-framed lefty at 6-foot-5, 175 pounds, Vire has gotten up to 88-90 mph from the left side, but he’s still raw and needs to add some physicality to his body. There’s a lot of projectability left for Vire, meaning he should be able to increase his fastball velocity once he gets to campus at Arizona State. Vire would be an interesting name to watch in the next couple years as he adds weight and experience to his resume, but a team could decide to take a chance on him later in the draft.
