Dougherty stepped up and made a strong spot start in the 2022 College World Series finals, helping lead Ole Miss to the national championship. He spent much of this spring in the Rebels rotation and went 3-4, 6.27 with 65 strikeouts and 22 walks in 60.1 innings. He attacks hitters with a fastball-slider combination and his fastball works in the low 90s. His stuff ticks up out of the bullpen and his long-term future may be as a reliever.
