Moore has an exciting foundation of tools and stuff on the mound, but needs to learn to harness it more effectively to make the most of it. A 6-foot-3, 210-pound righthander, Moore pitched around 89-90 mph and touched 93 in 2022, but in early bullpens before the 2023 season he reached the mid 90s with his heater. He has excellent natural feel to spin a breaking ball, and mixes both a mid-70s curveball and a slider around 80 mph with 3,000 rpm on both pitches. He has also flashed a mid-80s changeup, but the pitch needs more feel, as does his overall control. Moore is committed to Virginia and could be a difficult sign as a late second or early day three draft pick, where most teams seem to view his talent.
