Farni is quite a bit old for the 2023 prep class and will be 19 and a half on draft day, though he established himself as one of the more interesting hitters in the class as an underclassman. The 6-foot, 190-pound outfielder has impressive bat speed and strength as a switch-hitter, with more power from the left side that goes toward his pull side, but he showed plenty of contact questions over the showcase circuit in 2022. He has an aggressive approach and will need to perhaps quiet some of the moving parts in his swing or improve his swing decisions at the next level. He’s an above-average runner with a quick first step and solid arm strength who should stick in center field, at least initially, at the next level. Farni is committed to Mississippi and will be draft eligible in 2025 if he makes it to campus.
