BA Grade/Risk: 45/Average
Adjusted Grade: 35
Track Record: Signed for $75,000 in the 2023 international signing period, Mogollon quickly jumped to the top of that year’s White Sox international class. The diminutive middle infielder from Venezuela hit eight homers and posted a 132 wRC+ in the 2024 Arizona Complex League, but his 38.3% strikeout rate raised concerns. He began 2025 with Low-A Kannapolis and produced an .848 OPS through the first month of the season before recurring knee issues ended his year after 51 games. He did, however, cut his strikeout rate to 25%.
Scouting Report: Mogollon is a quick-twitch athlete with a short, muscular 5-foot-8 build. He takes big swings and, despite his size, has above-average raw power with a max exit velocity of 109.7 mph in his abbreviated 2025 season. Mogollon’s contact rate also jumped from 56% in the complex in 2024 to 70% in 2025. Improved swing decisions helped generate more consistent impact, though he still swings and misses plenty. He also takes his fair share of walks. Mogollon has soft hands and enough arm to play shortstop. He can get a bit out of control in the field, so he may be better suited for second base. He’s a plus runner with double-digit steals each of his last three seasons.
The Future: A healthy Mogollon profiles best as a super utility option who is a sum of his parts player. He’ll be 20 years old for all of 2026, so the White Sox have no reason to rush him.

BA Grade: 50/Extreme
Track Record: Signed for $75,000 in January 2023, Mogollon quickly jumped to the head of the class among that year’s White Sox international class. The native Venezuelan had an outstanding professional debut in the Dominican Summer League by hitting .315/.417/.582. His 10 home runs in 165 at-bats were tops in the league for 17-year-old players.
Scouting Report: Mogollon is a quick-twitch athlete with a short, muscular build. He gets low in the box with a wide stance and uses a simple, compact swing with no stride. He showed solid contact skills and above-average plate discipline. Despite his size, Mogollon has above-average raw power and registered above-average exit velocity numbers for his age group in his first season. He has a knack for optimizing his hard contact to his pull side at launch angles where they do the most damage. An average defender, Mogollon is better at second base and is more comfortable there, but he has the softness of hands and enough arm to play shortstop if his defense improves. He’s a plus runner who stole 11 bases in 13 attempts, but he could slow down as his body continues to mature.
The Future: Mogollon will make his U.S. debut in 2024, first in extended spring training followed by a season in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League. He will headline a potentially impressive crop of international newcomers on that team.
